Founded at a critical moment in the country’s academic and urban transformation, SAPA was built by architecture students studying within fragile and rapidly rebuilding cities, supported and guided by practicing architects and educators. Through urban walks, research initiatives, conservation documentation, and public workshops, SAPA transforms learning into tangible impact, reconnecting a new generation with Somalia’s urban history while directly engaging with the planning and design challenges shaping its cities today.
